This passive subsea surveillance system provides 365-day autonomous monitoring with 24/7 endurance, operating reliably regardless of sea state or environmental conditions—from littoral waters to depths of 6,000 metres. 

ENLITOR® offers coverage of up to 150 km per onshore station, continuously detecting and classifying both subsea and surface targets through their unique sonar signatures. This wide-area surveillance enables effective choke-point protection while ensuring critical subsea infrastructure protection across your designated zone of interest. 

By leveraging ELAC SONAR's advanced Sphere® software architecture, ENLITOR® analyses acoustic data to enable high-precision detection, classification, localisation, and real-time tracking—providing operators with mission-critical situational awareness and minimal manual intervention for long-term maritime operations.

 

ENLITOR® Components

Underwater Detection Node (UDN): fully digitalised and pressure-proof hydrophone array with a stealthy design. These are deployed on the seabed to establish a high-resolution acoustical tripwire. 

Combined Command Centre (CCC): serves as the central processing and control unit. It receives, aggregates, and processes the acoustic data transmitted from all connected UDNs with our advanced Sphere® technology. 

Hybrid Subsea Cable (HSC): provides the physical opto-digital communication and power link between the UDNs and the CCC. The cables ensure reliable data transmission, synchronised system operation, and stable power delivery across the entire sensor network.
